AN IMPORTANT ANTIQUE DIAMOND, RUBY AND EMERALD PICTURE FRAME, with central oval cut ruby of approximately 1.58ct, surrounded by an old cut diamond cluster of approximately 0.60ct in total, to a calibre cut ruby and mixed cut diamond star burst motif, surmounting a calibre cut ruby frame, surrounded by diamond and ruby floral clusters, emerald foliate motifs and diamond scrolls, with diamonds of approximately 16.00ct in total, rubies of approximately 9.28ct in total, emeralds of approximately 7.34ct in total, mounted in 18ct gold. The back of the frame incised with acanthus leaf scroll decoration, fitted yellow engine-turned guilloché enamel plate and fitted bevel glass measuring 75mmx55mm, with gold stand. Total measurements 160x135mm. Early 20th century. Provenance: Given as a wedding gift to the current vendor's parents in the Far East in the 1950's.
