April Exclusive: A One of a Kind Frame
This month, we are proud to announce a spectacular picture frame of ruby and diamond floral clusters, emerald foliage and diamond scrolls up for auction. It is possible that this piece is part of a larger vanity set, due to the discovery of a matching hand mirror which appeared in the auction of Magnificent Jewels in Christie’s, New York on 16 October 2012. The mirror, which came from a private collection, had an auction estimate of $15,000-20,000, but fetched an impressive $60,000. This stunning frame was given as a wedding present to the current vendor’s parents in the 1950’s in the Far East. Come in to view this one of a kind piece for yourself!

April babies get one of the most famous and precious gemstones as their birthstone: diamond. From jewellers’ tools to engagement rings, diamond is one of the most important gems out there. They are the hardest natural substance on earth and only a diamond can cut another diamond. Their incredible shine and sparkle have captivated wearers for centuries. From engagement rings to line bracelets and everything in between, you cannot go wrong with diamond. Here are our top diamond picks for April…
The old cut diamonds give a delicate feel to this feminine floral spray brooch – here, our three favourite ways to wear it:
By Day: The brooch will stand out against a chic shift dress in a block colour – do as The Queen does and pin it through a bra strap to anchor it securely in place.
By Evening: Pin it vertically on the lapel of a jacket – we love the idea of its sparkle against a dark blazer for cocktail hour.
For Special Occasions: This brooch would look ideal pinned into an updo, or holding a bridal veil in place, feeding perfectly into this season’s trend for jewelled hair slides

The Evolution of the Cluster Ring:
Worn since the Georgian era, cluster rings continue to be popular to this day. The name cluster says it all: a cluster ring features a stone in the centre that is surrounded by a circular halo of smaller diamonds. Cluster ring can be simple or elaborate, with the designs changing throughout the last 200 years. Starting with Georgian clusters, which were made in gold and blackened silver with more prominent prongs featuring rose cut diamonds, then onto Victorian clusters which featured more delicate and simple prongs. From there, Edwardian clusters began to showcase even more streamline designs, with Art Deco clusters fully embracing clean lines and geometric figures. Standing the test of time, there’s a cluster for every style or budget out there.
